They offered us a better room at the property near called breathless at a cost to us. James Montego Bay - Luxury - Adults Only - All Inclusive is in the suburbs and on a private beach. The only time we enjoyed our selves were when we left for excursions outside the property. In room dining room over 2 hours to deliver food. I’ve stayed at many resorts in Jamaica and the room here was overpriced for the service we got. This is far from what I expected from a resort in this league. This time we requested room service to just change the sheets and we had to wait over 6 hours for someone to come do that, only to find out all they did was put the same duvet on the bed and flipped it on the other side.
They changed our room to a lower level which was a little cleaner but the bed sheets also had stains on it. There were dust filled on every table in the room and the toilet was filthy. The tub was filled with black stains, the throw pillows had stains in them as well. When we first arrived we were placed in a room that was dirty as ever. If you're spending this type of money please try Excellence Oyster Bay, that experience was money WELL SPENT. I could've gone to RIU for less than half that price and gotten better cleanliness, upkeep and definitely better food. At $650 per night I was expecting luxury but the resort fell short of that. The hotel needs general upkeep and more staff in the buffet areas to ensure a smoother dining experience. The check in staff was great pleasant & polite. The buffet area needs to be larger to accommodate the large volume of guests. They say there are 9 "restaurants" Food was decent but the buffet did not have the variety expected and breakfast lines were ridiculous some days. Thankfully we were moved to another room pretty quickly after having to pack up all our stuff :(. After 3 phone calls the guy shows up but ofcouse by then the floor in the bathroom and bedroom were flooded. Called maintenence and explained the water is rising and will likely soon be on the floor. We tried not to be complainers & make the best of it since we weren't going to use it anyway.ĭay 2.We heard the toilet bubbling, we knew there may possibly be trouble brewing.
